Mays Quarter and Reid’s Prospect Update

As some of you may have observed, we have commenced land development activities on our Mays Quarter community which will be your neighboring community. Mays Quarter is bordered by Old Hickory Golf Club, the Coventry Glen community, Asdee Lane and Reid’s Prospect.
We held back on developing Mays Quarter during the economic downturn but now feel that the market is sufficiently recovered to make the investment in completing the job. Over the balance of this year, we will be clearing, grading and installing sewer, water and roadways to produce finished lots for 2014. We will not be marketing lots to any builders until 2014.
Before any houses are started, we will be fulfilling our proffers by widening Greatbridge Road to four (4) lanes from the entrance into the County parking lot down to the circle by your main sign. This work is on the County/Service Authority side of Greatbridge Road. We will also be improving “dirt” Asdee from Coventry Glen to the golf course cart crossing. We have already made improvements to the Prince William Parkway and the to the Parkway/Greatbridge intersection.
Regarding Reid’s Prospect, it is anticipated that the residential portion will be completed by the end of 2013. On the office park, we are currently marketing pad sites for additional offices and most likely will start a 3-story building on the pond corner lot by the Parkway this year. We are still holding the Parkway/Greatbridge corner lot for a sit-down restaurant. So far, the only interest we have received is from fast food facilities. Hopefully, as Reid’s Prospect finishes and Mays Quarter starts home construction, we will garner more interest.
